Lombard's parents left Dublin in the mid-1950s. Lombard was born in London, England on September 30, 1970, the fifth child of seven siblings to a family of Irish extraction.She began taking drama lessons when she was eight. Lombard was educated at Trinity Catholic High School in Woodford Green - a Roman Catholic school, from which she achieved nine O Levels. Lombard studied English Literature at Cambridge University and printing and photography at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
In 2009, Lombard appeared in the pilot episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles, and then later in the Seventh Season episode of NCIS, entitled Patriot Down, in which her character of Special Agent Lara Macy, OSP was found dead.Lombard has one child with her partner, a son named Alejandro and is expecting her second child this summer. Louise gave birth to her second child, a baby girl on June 29th, 2010. She lives in Los Angeles.
